UPDATE:::Just like anything - you need to get the hang of it...DO NOT PUT IN DISHWASHER - I admit, these do not clean as easy as the commercial but that is because EGG COOKS IN A HOT DISHWASHER - it's science people. When you are done with these, just place them in a hot, soapy water and clean out with a bottle brush, rag or sponge - it takes a little time but not as much as having to peel eggs so I don't mind doing it...Do they pop out easily? No! Stick a spoon in one side to let the air out and THEN they pop right out. If they are cold - just stick your finger along one side - JUST LIKE JELLO SHOTS! Those didn't pop out either, member people?Do they tip over while cooking? Yes, sometimes! But, doesn't change the fact that they are awesome and they cook perfectly fine regardless...you do NOT have to get the exact level of water - so what if they tip over and so what if they look a little weird?IF THEY TASTE RUBBERY - YOU ARE OVER COOKING THEM! Use 10 minutes as a guide - I think the cook time in the instruction booklet adds for extra time to make sure they are super cooked - probably a liability thing - just like restaurants always mention: "Eating undercooked eggs and meat can be harmful, blah blah"My son is obsessed and asks for "eggs" every morning now - because I can make little cheese omelettes in these and they are the same shape - he now eats eggs again!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I wasn’t sure what to expect from the TV ad but these egg cookers are pretty amazing. They make this very clear – DO NOT USE IN THE MICROWAVE!These are to be used in boiling water. Just like you would boil a normal egg, however, you don’t have to peel them later. I don’t know about you, but I cannot stand how hard it is to peel eggs. They have that weird film on them, sometimes the little eggshells get under my nails – it hurts and it takes so much time. These are the perfect solution! So much better than anything on the market today.Just like anything – you really have to read the instructions – once you “perfect it” – these are super easy to use. Make sure you oil the inside, so I would advise using some cooking spray. Then, you have to put enough water in the pot so they “float” – cooking time is about the same as normal hard boiled eggs but the instruction manual has all the details if you are making other types of eggs.I love that I can cook them, put them in my lunch bag and the next day – they are easy to eat. Just pop them out!Even though I wasn’t too sure about making a “scrambled egg” – I think this is the best feature about these. I make an egg and cheese scramble for my daughter (who hates eggs) and now I’ve got her eating eggs and they are so easy for her to bring to lunch, without the mess! I’ll have to order more because I’m sure she’ll lose them.WASHING: I wouldn't put these in the dishwasher even though it says dishwasher safe - whenever I cook eggs and put the pan in the dishwasher, it never cleans the egg off - I think the heat of the dishwasher just cooks the eggs more - so, these are no different - they're not great in the dishwasher BUT they are super easy to clean IF you grease the inside well - it's very easy to flip them inside out and clean since they are non stick silicone - I'd rather take the time to clean these than peel eggs - takes less time!Update: after a month - I still LOVE these - I've learned that once they come to a boil, iit's best to lower to a rolling boil so they don't topple over. However, they are really water tight so even when they do tip over, water does not get inside. They are really easy to scoop out with a fork too!
