I don’t know what’s with using double d-rings in 2022. But aside from that I love everything about this helmet. The transitions visor, the routing for the Bluetooth comms, the overall build quality.GREAT helmet! I really appreciate the solid yet lightweight feel of this helmet. Plus the name alone brings me a sense of comfort and safety, knowing Bell makes some of the best mid-range helmets in the world. Not to mention, this matches my bike's colors PERFECTLY! Lucky coincidence? Maybe, but it sure beats my old shiny black thing... Anyway: the good and not-so-good:The GOOD: The helmet looks fantastic. Once it's in, I have no trouble getting the strap on, and finding the little snap-keeper for the end. Taking it off is just as easy, once you learn where all the little parts are. The quick slide tab allows you to release the tension and get it off very fast - love that feature. The auto-shading lens is, well, PERFECT. It darkens quickly and gets to a shade that really does a fine job of cutting the glare. Just what one needs in my particular situation for needing to wear glasses. The helmet is lightweight, but substantial enough to feel like it's there, and doing what it's supposed to do. The air vents work great, they don't rattle in the wind, and they provide air to keep my head cool and my lens from fogging. The Not-So-Good: If you wear glasses of any kind, getting them on with the helmet is very challenging. There is ZERO room between your temples and the foam padding for your glass frame, so you have to force it in, and when they're in, your glasses sit cockeyed on your face. Not ideal, to say the least. I've just taken to wearing my contacts anytime I ride, and letting the auto=shade lens do the work of cutting the glare. No sunglasses necessary. ALSO, the little quick-slide tab on the strap? Although a great addition, and very useful, it's made of the gauziest material ever, and is already starting to look threadbare. It'll fall off after another season or two at the most. Kinda say they didn't use silk or another strong fabric, or maybe even a piece of leather? Once it's gone, I'll have to replace it somehow, as I really like how it releases the strap tension quickly.Got [Yellow Hi-Vzs, XXL, has 35mm ear/side pads] helmet. I was using a "1/2 helmet" and decided to change to "full face helmet" for more protection. Never used full face and went on search for a helmet that "meets" my crtieria:1) Fit/comfort ~~- This criterion can not be compromised. Not too tight, not too loose.2) Yellow Hi-Viz ~~~ I found only a few in solid yellow. The DLX's yellow ABS shell is superior.3) Certification ~~~ DOT & ECE compliant. Couldn't find another full face, yellow with both DOT & ECE.4) Visual Field ~~~ Field is "good" [enough for me] but I prefer more, like TORC T-1 Retro [no yellow].5) Venting ~~~ Venting is excellent. Couldn't be better. Rider can control 4 vent openings.6) Weight ~~~ [?] 3.34 lbs. (on Revzilla). Three shell sizes. This weight may be for "middle" size shell.7) Shield ~~~ Ratchets , so rider may position. Includes "expensive" Transitions shield - works perfectly.Other features of the DLX can be found on Amazon [& elsewhere]. Regarding sizes - I have the 2XL [largest of the 3 shells] and it came with 35mm ear/side pads. That location was too tight. Ordered 30mm [$19.99] & installed. That did it. The perfect fit. ********** Don't need or want the intercom. Wish DLX came w/o it. I prefer to ride w/o the distraction of incoming voices/sounds. A 3XL [with 30mm pads] was not sold when I got the 2XL [with 35mm].This DLX couldn't be better except for deletion of the intercom "hole." I will fill it with 3/16 or 1/4" felt pad to reduce air flow (and hence noise). In closing, the DLX would "look better" with only one Bell logo on front & none on sides.Disclosure: I have purchased this Sena 10s set, clamp kit 10S-A0302 and Bell Qualifier DLX with my own sweat earned money (read, no endorsement here). Although I purchased these, all opinions in this review remain my own and I was in no way influenced by the companies. As the title implies, I really want to love this combination of wonderful graphics with integrated Bluetooth interface. Here are some of the reasons why I just can't love it:No. 1: Main Sena unit pops out on first ride! Yeap, puff-smoke lost. I will explain more on this, bear with me here.No. 2: Bell designed the Qualifier DLX with the bottom lip rubber gasket too close/tightly to the back of the Sena 10S helmet clamp kit 10S-A0302 and non fitting main unit space. This requires helmet rubber modification to make it stay safely in place when the cheek pad is inserted (see mod picture attached).No. 3: Sena main 10s clip system can be improved for this helmet purposes. Now, after 1 month of use, and near match with Sergio Leone's epic Spaghetti Western film Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo, lit. ("The good, the ugly, the bad"):The good:The Qualifier DLX carries nice graphics (1 wish: the DOT sticker would not cover the girl! Yeah, I know, legalese again), competitive confort/airflow, very good chromic shield implementation with Transitions brand technology. Sena' Click release is generally good (if you can make it seat properly or expect extra noise and water ingress). Great customer service! The bad:The DLX has little space on front of my squeezed out mouth to properly use the boom microphone without contact or pushing it to the side during head insertion and helmet removal. No pre-installed or included Sena10S-A0302 clamp kit (get ready to shell out those greenbacks on top of the helmet and standard 10s kit). Noisy on touring position, more quiet on racing/more streamline position with top vents open. Inner air flow can be improved. Not a complaint at this price bracket but, would be very nice and welcomed improvement for the summer or hot days. The ugly:The Sena 10S clip initially works fine with included 10S-A0311 Helmet Clamp Kit (also works with my SMH10, huge sound improvement!). Issues with the main unit started to become more prevalent as I swapped across my 2 helmets: it was too easy to unclip, to the point that certain helmet handling would pop it out. Eventually, riding at highway speeds, it popped out and my $239 investment disappeared in the grass surrounding the hilly highway. I researched a replacement main unit to no avail, contacting Sena support confirmed the news, as opposed to the SMH10, there's no available 10s main unit replacement. A supervisor made an exception and approved to ship me a replacement 10s set in exchange for the return of my 10S-A0311 and serial number/proof of purchase. Not a pretty experience linked to a clip and Bell helmet design.Hopefully I don't get a refurbished set with a worn clip. While Sena designs next version of the 10S (10sM for Metallic clip anyone?) , I already purchased another set a friend was selling that he never get to install. This time around, I cleaned up the clip area with 70 proof rubbing alcohol, inserted a piece of 3M mounting tape in between the body and the clip tongue, with only one side exposed to re-enforce the clip action. Now I'm being very careful while removing the main unit as well as installing it on my second helmet. Hopefully this will not be happening again, but as a boomerang comes back again, it's the same clip design, my hopes are low.3/20/2018 update:Still unable to keep the 10s main unit in place. As a temporary solution, I fixes the main unit with dual side 3M tape https://www.amazon.com/3M-Scotch-4011-Exterior-Mounting/dp/B00004Z4BV/Beautiful helmet. Light and well ventilated. Artwork is stunning. The Transitions visor is incredible! It should come stock on every helmet. Only drawback is the Bluetooth communications door on the left side. The noise from that door is crazy. Best remedy is to fill it with the Sena smh10, which it was designed for.it's not for highway driving its really loud inside there is no road padding noise insulation/protectionwhile driving i got wasps and other bugs coming inside this helmet, really scaryits 90% true to sizing, its good for sunny days soo no need for sunglassesit's not as advertised by sellerVery nice helmet out of the box, fit is snug, Haven't road tested it yet. Shipping was not fast and duty was required. Shield darkens automatically - Great feature.Exactly what I thought it would be. Arrived in 1 day !Parfait, vision excellente et memepas de pression sur les écouteurs dans le casque, trapes d'air vraiment efficaces point négatif, un peu bruillant
